This class is offered to anyone interested in joining EMS. The Basic EMT class will teach the student Emergency Care Management. The specific subjects taught are.
Module 1 (Preparatory)
This module will go over introduction to EMS, well being of the EMT, medical legal, the human body, vital signs, history, body mechanics, lifting & moving your patient.
Module 2 (Airway)
This module will go over airway, oxygen, EDTLA, ventilation and suctioning.
Module 3 (Patient Assessment)
This module will go over the scene size up, assessment skills, medical & trauma assessment, detailed physical exam, on-going assessment, communications (verbal and written), documentation & the geriatric patient.
Module 4 (Medical)
This module will go over pharmacology, respiratory emergencies, cardiovascular emergencies, diabetic emergencies, anaphylaxis, poison, environmental emergencies, behavioral emergencies, OB, abdominal Illnesses & CNS Illness.
Module 5 (Trauma)
This module will go over bleeding, shock, soft tissue, head and spinal injuries & musculoskeletal care.
Module 6 (Infant and Child Emergencies)
Module 7 (Ambulance Operations)
This module will go over triage, disaster and HazMat training.
Paramedic The cost is 4,500.00 dollars + Uniforms 550 Classroom Hours & 500 Clinical Hours This class is offered to anyone interested in becoming an EMS Instructor. The IC class will teach the student how to instruct EMS students. You must have 3 years at your current license level to teach at that level. You must also have 1 year of road experience to teach. Instructor Coordinator (IC) The cost is 800 dollars & Uniforms 140 Classroom Hours & 30 Student Teaching Hours This class is offered to anyone interested in becoming an EMS Instructor. The IC class will teach the student how to instruct EMS students. You must have 3 years at your current license level to teach at that level. You must also have 1 year of road experience to teach.
